Google used today’s Doodle to honor International Women’s Day 2016 with a video highlighting women from around the world. The video’s creators, Lydia Nichols, Helene Leroux, and Liat Ben-Rafael visited 13 cities and asked 337 girls and women from toddlers to grandmothers to complete the sentence “One Day I Will…”
“Whether their responses were detailed or broad strokes, concrete or abstract, funny or heartwarming, it was inspiring to see them take the time to dream,” they said.
Special cameo appearances come from anthropologist Jane Goodall and activists Malala Yousafzai and Muzoon Almellehan.
Google has previously celebrated International Women’s Day with a Doodle but this year they wanted “to celebrate the next generation of Doodle-worthy women—the engineers, educators, leaders, movers and shakers of tomorrow.”
We’ll add period-positive cycledorks that list.
